I wasn’t able to travel during my fertility treatments either. When a small window popped up, I RAN to google flights and booked whatever was the cheapest option 🤣 it was actually really exhilarating to land somewhere without a plan! I am lucky I live in a place where these last minute trips are really cheap (eg/ 30 euro flights, 100 euro hotel).
Once we went to Trapani Sicily and my husband was making fun of me because we landed in a tiny airport that only sometimes takes commercial flights and I literally had no idea where we were 😱 another one was Cormayeur Italy and we got to go skiing ⛷️both places were really amazing.
Just checked out a town 25 minutes away this past weekend, inspired by you! Fun little experience only slightly marred by our dog yakking up grass just as I was leaping out of the car at a gas station to get to the bathroom :D
I just had my first ever experience with (what I now know to be) plantar fasciitis while in Japan of all places — slowed me down a lot! So I receive l this rec with a lot of gratitude. Love the color scheme!
When my sister comes to visit from Germany, I get to see my town through her eyes, and it's one of my favorite things. It works the other way around, too, and we've both noticed how much more we appreciate the places we live, after showing them to each other. I find myself thinking: Oh yeah, that breakfast spot IS really cute! Wow, there really ARE a lot of art and music events in my community! How have I never gone on this hike before?? This mountain lake has been here THE WHOLE TIME!!
And absolutely yes on Luke's. Every year, fall comes around and I want to rewatch the entire thing...
