The “see it all” pressure is real, especially when you’re going that far and spending that much.

I like that they cut it back to the trip they’d actually enjoy. Fewer stops, less rushing, time to be tired, and room for it to feel like a honeymoon.

It is so easy to fall into the trap of thinking something's do-able based on how it looks on paper! Identifying those moments is absolutely where a bit of experience and expertise can be invaluable. It seems like an amazing trip, and I will be looking forward to Part 2, how it went!

Others may disagree, but if you're going to skip one of the LOTR places, I personally think you chose the right one. "It was here but it's gone" is not that impressive if you have to go out of your way to get to it.
